Haley Manchon grew up outside of Philadelphia and received her BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2018. She is represented by MK Apothecary in Collingswood, NJ, and has her work displayed on the 2nd floor of The People’s Store in Lambertville, NJ. In addition to exhibiting her work, she is commissioned for projects that span from portrait drawings to logos, branding, and editorial illustration. Haley's recent portrait drawings use superimposed imagery of compounded features and patterns to present a visual, literal cycling of thoughts and moments. Additionally, she has been developing the characters and worlds that exist in her sketchbooks. These drawings are very personal – a strange mix of childhood nostalgia, painful memories and visual note taking. It is a practice that has become especially comforting in this past year.
